Vintage 1987 Hand-Painted Toy Storage Solid Wood Hope Chest Floral Scrollwork

This is a vintage, hand-painted, solid wood toy chest or storage trunk. It is signed by the artist on the front with "Rosenburg 1987". I believe the wood is pine.

It is in very good condition with some signs of wear from usage and age. The floral scrollwork, which appears to be Norwegian folk art rosemaling, was painted in shades of blue, yellowy gold, red, white, and green with some designs outlined in black. The borders, interior, and bottom were left bare. There is a shallow, removable tray and a gold-tone metal chain to keep the lid in place.

The wood is splitting on the top, as shown. There are no other blemishes or damage. It is approximately 24.25" tall, 39.75" wide, and 19.5 deep.
